Gillian Kirk is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing and studying yoga and meditation for more than two decades. She has advanced training in reiki, ayurvedic healing, breath work, and chakra energy centres, all of which inform her holistic approach to healing.
Ultimately, Gillian’s goal is to show how yoga and meditation can lead us to become the most luminous, radiant version of ourselves both on and off the mat.

Tejas is a Sanskrit term
I chose to name my business Tejas Healing because this experience is what I hope to offer my clients — the ability to move through the physical, mental, and spiritual challenges of life, to burn through their perceived limitations, and transform every aspect of their lives.
The value and power of inner healing and transformation cannot be overstated. Our nervous systems are constantly bombarded with information, and demands for our time and our energy. We suffer from stress and anxiety, guilt and resentment, anger and pain. These mental and emotional challenges can manifest as chronic pain, illness, depression and that overwhelming feeling of never being able to catch up, never having enough time, never being enough.

Gillian Kirk is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing and studying yoga and meditation for more than two decades. She has advanced training in reiki, ayurvedic healing, breath work, and chakra energy centres, all of which inform her holistic approach to healing.
Ultimately, Gillian’s goal is to show how yoga and meditation can lead us to become the most luminous, radiant version of ourselves both on and off the mat.
Gillian’s deep dive into traditional yoga began in 2007 when she spent six months traveling through India and studying yoga. For a month, she lived at the Prashanti Kutiram ashram, a yoga university near Bangalore, where she was immersed dawn to dusk in the full tradition of classical yoga and where she received her first 200-hour yoga instructor’s certificate. She spent her last two months in India studying at Atmavikasa School of Yoga in Mysore, the birthplace of modern yoga.
She teaches traditional tantric hatha yoga from the Sri Vidya lineage, which she began studying in 2018 at The Practice Bali yoga training centre in Bali. A committed lifelong student, Gillian continues to study with Yogarupa Rod Stryker and is working toward her Parayoga certification.
Gillian’s yoga classes are designed to take you beyond the physical and deep into the subtle energetics of the body; an invitation to use this ancient science as a pathway to spiritual awakening. Her classes develop the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit — moving the body to control the breath, harnessing the breath to control the mind, and controlling the mind to connect to the spirit.
