Energy healing addresses the flow of life force energy, also known as prana or chi, to the subtle body and main energy centers, called chakras. This allows movement and healing on all planes: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Lack of flow or energy blockages due to physical or emotional stress or trauma manifest as mind-body tension, restriction in movement, and disease. By releasing “stuck” movements, thoughts and feelings, energy healing allows you to connect with your true self and thus enjoy a state of balance, happiness and integration.
Energy healing recognizes that there is more to us than just the physical — there is a subtle, life force energy that pervades all living things. For thousands of years, cultures have studied the energy centres in the human body as a way to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal. This subtle energy is called “qi” in traditional Chinese medicine, “prana” in yoga and ayurvedic medicine, and “spirit” in Judeo-Christian traditions.
Energy healing can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote feelings of well being, and aid in managing conditions like depression, chronic pain or illness.
Reiki is a type of energy healing that has been around for thousands of years. The word “reiki” (pronounced ray-kee) comes from the Japanese words “rei” (universal) and “ki” or “chi” (life energy). Reiki aids relaxation, assists in the body’s natural healing processes, and develops emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Your energy healing session may involve a combination of the following modalities: reiki, chakra balancing, pranayama (working with the breath), physical movement, ayurvedic health principals, guided relaxation, meditation, and/or yoga nidra.
At its most basic, energy healing is a relaxing and rewarding experience, opening the way for introspection and self-discovery.
Yoga Nidra translates to “yogic sleep.” It is a deep, healing relaxation technique that resolves issues like lack of quality sleep and stress or anxiety. During the practice, students lie comfortably on their backs and are guided into progressive stages of relaxation. The body and mind go to sleep, while a part of you remains awake and aware, providing the body and mind the opportunity to reach the physiological state of deepest healing and renewal.
After an initial discussion about your current state of health and your intentions for the session, we will typically spend some time working with the breath to encourage full relaxation, and to help connect your mind and emotions with your body. You will be directed to become aware of your thoughts and emotions and to try to connect them to sensations in the body.
Although energy healing can bring up strong emotions, the most important thing is your comfort and safety, and that you leave the session feeling relaxed and grounded.

about tejas healing
power, brilliance, energy, fire.
Tejas is a Sanskrit term
I chose to name my business Tejas Healing because this experience is what I hope to offer my clients — the ability to move through the physical, mental, and spiritual challenges of life, to burn through their perceived limitations, and transform every aspect of their lives.
The value and power of inner healing and transformation cannot be overstated. Our nervous systems are constantly bombarded with information, and demands for our time and our energy. We suffer from stress and anxiety, guilt and resentment, anger and pain. These mental and emotional challenges can manifest as chronic pain, illness, depression and that overwhelming feeling of never being able to catch up, never having enough time, never being enough.
Connect with your body, your breath and your mind, and learn new coping strategies and tools to overcome and transcend this feeling, unlock your highest potential and live your most vibrant, radiant life.
